Today, I was lucky enough to go to a Purdue basketball game with some friends. Once we parked the car, I decided to do what the other women were doing, and leave my purse in the car, instead of having to carry it with me. I took along some money and my cell phone, and that was it.
At half time of the game, who shows up in the aisle right next to where we were sitting, but Gene Keady! For those of you who are not Purdue fans, he coached at Purdue for over 20 years. He had walked over from the other side of the arena to visit with a sweet lady sitting in front of us. She is the mother of a former Purdue player, Curt Clawson (sp?). Anyway, I digress. :) My first thought was "grab my camera and get his picture." You guessed it, it was in my purse...in the car. Then after the game, I noticed three Tri-County students high fiving the Purdue players as they headed off the court.
My thought again was: "Grab my camera!" That would be a great picture to put on this blog!! But alas, my camera was locked up in Carol's car. So, I whined a little, and Curt Clawson, who was in front of me heard me, so he offered to take a picture of the boys, and said he would send me the picture if I gave him my e-mail address. Well, I did, and we shall see if he remembers to send the picture on. If so, I will post it on this blog.
LESSON LEARNED: Take your camera with you everywhere you go! You never know when you might want to use it. :)

Great story! I've always liked Curt, regardless of the crick in the neck I got when he showed up to the games....
