Today, I headed to the Post Office to find my next picture. Once again, I got a bonus! Two people in one shot. Harry Schwier and Lillian Tolley.
Lillian and her husband moved here in 1988 and made Remington their home. Lillian is the OIC at the Remington Post Office. She is the mother of two children, Jason and Laura. She has worked for the US Postal Service for 25 years, and has worked several different post offices. Lillian says the people of Remington are the best ever, and she believes she is lucky that they chose this town to settle down in. Thanks Lillian!
Harry Schwier is a familiar face to people who have lived in Remington for awhile. He's lived here for 50 years and is a retired mail carrier. He still helps out in the back every so often. Harry used to own "Harry's" for those of you who have been around Remington for awhile. Those of you who are newer residents, like me, know the place as Milley's now. (But that's another day and another picture!) Harry also helps run the American Legion in Remington. He says the whiskers on his face are for the Sesquicentennial Celebration coming up in July!
Gray day, but once again in the 30s, so the snow continues to melt.
